Eagles Win 2 More, Now Stand 11 9 For Year

The Becker Big Lake  Eagles beat Legacy Christian Academy 4-3 Saturday and North Branch, 10-2 at home Monday.

The Eagles Alec Green scored the only goal of the first period with an assist from Zach Vieau.
 
Both North Branch goals were scored in the second period, Vieau scored for the Eagles with assists from Ethan Boutin and Tristan Gust. Green scored on a power play with assists from Nick Stalpes and Grant Vickerman. At the end of the second period the score was 3-2  in the Eagles favor.
 
In the third period, the Eagles came out and scored seven times to take the win. Stalpes put three in the net. Boutin scored one, Vieau scored one, Collin Downs and Gust also scored.
 
In Saturday’s game versus Legacy Christian Academy, Legacy got the first goal in the first period. Green scored for the Eagles with an assist from Stalpes, then Legacy scored again. John Messman scored for the Eagles with an assist from Taylor Giving to end the period with a 2-2 tie.
 
Stalpes scored unassisted six seconds into the second period. Legacy came back and scored again, ending the second period with a 3-3 tie.
 
In the third period, Stalpes scored unassisted at 7:31 and the Eagles held off the Legacy offense to take the game, 4-3.
 
The Eagles take on Princeton Tuesday at home and Minnehaha Academy in an away meet Thursday. Section play begins Saturday. The Eagles are 11-9 on the season.
