The Becker boys tennis team fell to Cambridge-Isanti on Tuesday evening by a score of 1-6.
It was Becker’s second loss of the season, as the team sits with a 10-2 record.
“It was a tough loss to a veteran Cambridge-Isanti team,” Coach Hokan Bengtson said. “They showed a level of competitive drive and finishing that really put us to the test.”
Adler Herdina was the lone Bulldog victor, as he took a 7-6 (2), 6-2 win at #3 singles. Becker kept many of the other matches very close.
“They (C-I) won three of the four matches that were really close and that was the difference today,” Bengtson said. “Hats off to their team and it was a great chance for our guys to deal with adversity in an instance that we didn’t finish points like we needed to.”
With the loss, Becker is 2-1 in the Mississippi 8 Conference.
