Dehmer Competes At State Cross Country Meet

Becker High School was proudly represented at the MSHSL State Cross Country meet by Bulldog Lexi Dehmer, who was competing at state for the third time.

At St. Olaf College in Northfield on Nov. 2, the weather was cool but dry after a bit of snow overnight. The class AA girls race commenced at 10 a.m., followed by the boys class AA race at 11.

Dehmer placed 101st of 176 runners with a time of 19:42.3. She crossed the finish line happy with her time and effort and excited to have the support of her fans and teammates who had traveled to the meet to support her race.

“This was the third time Lexi has run at the state meet,” said Coach Trish Reimer Kealy. “It’s a great way to finish out her high school cross country career.”

The Edina team took 1st place with 55 points, followed by Wayzata, St. Michael-Albertville and Alexandria.

“Our section was well represented with Alexandria in 4th place and Willmar in 8th out of 16 teams,” said Reimer Kealy. “We’re look forward to track season coming up this spring!”
