The Dazzlers dance team is looking forward to a great year full of competitiveness and memories.
The head coach of the dance team is Julie Baloun, who is joined by Assistant Coach Nadia Fischer.
The team captains for the this year are Melody Swanson (Senior), Samantha Stellmach (Senior), and Morgan Peterson (Junior). The captains this year plan to have a positive experience, improve their skills, try their hardest and form a stronger community with the other girls.
This year brings new situations for the dance team, since no dancers graduated last year, the entire team returned this year with some new additions to the team. The dance team consists of 29 girls, 20 of whom are on the varsity team this year.
The Dazzlers have a kick line this year consisting of 16 girls plus four alternates, making this their largest kick team ever.
The team states that their biggest competition this year will be Cathedral and are looking forward to competing at their home conference and sections. Many girls are hoping to make it to state.
The girls plan on making the most of their competitions and would love the support. They compete against Apple Valley this Saturday and are in Albany Dec. 9.
