The Clear Lake Area Youth Baseball Association (CLAYBA) continues to have a great season, with a posted to-date combined record of 24 wins/11 losses/1 tie.

 

The Willie Mays team pitchers combined for a no hitter on both June 21 and 28. On June 21, Sutton Kenning, Cade Keske and Sam Carper each pitched 2 innings with no hits allowed against opponent Big Lake Knier. June 28, Cade Keske, Parker Hayman and Sam Carper did the same, with Keske and Hayman each pitching 2 innings and Carper pitching 1 inning against opponent Big Lake Rousu. Thursday night’s game against Big Lake Czech resulted in yet another combined no hitter, with the Lakers winning the game 9 to 2 in three completed innings. Due to lightning, the game had to be called early.

 

In nine games and 15.1 innings pitched, Carper has struck out 44 batters.
