Cis Robotics Update

With competition and week zero drawing closer, CIS robotics is working hard to be competition ready.

In the last weeks of build season, the media and marketing team completed sandwich boards and pins to market C.I.S. at competitions. The website has been completed, which helps judges choose who receives various awards.

The programming department completed the motion profile controller.

“This allows us to control movement over the whole range of motion. This is crucial for operating the boom and extension," states CIS.

They also accomplished autonomous which allows the robot to drive forward.

The safety squad is working to help keep people safe. Through a reminder to everyone that no job is too urgent that it cannot be done safely. They also started drafting the competition Pit schedule so the team works efficiently during a high stress event.

Throughout the week the engineering department is focusing on making the robot have a functioning boom arm with a working cube shooter. They have also given the full robot drivetrain to the programmers to get the bot ready for drive practice.

The chairman’s essay and executive summaries were submitted this week and all focus is now on the presentation and video. The presentation team has been established and are working to memorize their lines before competition.

The media team is collaborating with chairmen’s team to create a video that will highlight the many departments and individuals within the team.

CIS would like to hand a shout out to the robotics parents. The parents of CIS dedicate their time every week to supply the team members with delicious food.

“They spend their Saturdays at the high school to allow us to enjoy a good meal. Thank you to all the volunteers who help make this build season possible and successful!” Exclaims CIS.
