Tuesday night, the Becker Bulldog boys basketball team hosted Milaca in a Granite Ridge Conference battle. The Bulldogs jumped all over the Wolves from the start, then applied immense defense to pull out the win, 81-69.
Becker got double-digit scoring from three players, Cade Callahan (19), Nick Mittelsteadt (18) and Brandon Gustafson (12) to knock off the conference winless Wolves.
Becker improved to 2-1 in the GRC and 5-7 on the season.
Milaca was led by Cade Sorenson as he deposited 12 points in the losing effort. The Wolves managed just 27 points in the first 18 minutes compared to Becker’s 35. In the second half, both teams scored better, but Becker was just too much.
