The Becker Bulldog boys baseball team dropped three of four games this week to fall to 6-9.
Mora 8, Becker 3
Becker fell behind early and couldn't come back in an five-run loss to Mora on the road Tuesday.
Mora opened up scoring in the first inning, when Noah Foster doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Mora scored seven runs in the second inning and were led by Jordan Woods, Jim Woolhouse, Foster and Logan Parker-Sjoberg, all driving in runs.
Sjoberg was credited with the victory for Mora. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out eight.
Weston Schug took the loss for Becker. He allowed five hits and eight runs over two innings, striking out two.
Dalton Fouquette, Schug, Kreeden Blomquist, and Zack Davidson collected one hit for the visitors.
Becker 6, Milaca 4
Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, the Bulldogs staved off Milaca for a two-run victory Monday.
Becker got things moving in the second inning when Noah Mohs doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the second, Milaca tied things up at one when Bryce Haw's sacrifice fly scored one run for Milaca.
In the top of the fourth, Becker forged ahead when Dalton Fouquette's sacrifice fly scored one to put Becker up 2-1. Milaca answered when Jacob Mach singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one to knot it at two.
Becker pulled away for good with four runs in the third when Blomquist doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Zack Wenner singled on a 0-1 count, scoring another run, and Nathanael Nelson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring another.
Matthew Moe earned the victory on the mound. He surrendered two runs on three hits over four innings, striking out four and walking one.
Camron Fisher threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Fisher recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Becker.
Haw took the loss for Milaca, surrendering six runs on 11 hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
Becker had 12 hits in the game. Fouquette, Nelson, James Schafer and Blomquist all managed multiple hits.
Monticello 7, Becker 4
Becker watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a loss to host Monticello last Friday.
In the second inning, Logan Wetter singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run for the Magic. Jason Axelberg drew a walk, scoring one run, and Tommy Blackstone singled on a 2-2 count, scoring another run.
Blackstone was the winning pitcher for Monticello. He allowed seven hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out six.
Schug took the loss for Becker. He surrendered five runs on six hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one.
Becker racked up seven hits on the day. James Schafer and Kreeden Blomquist each managed multiple hits.
Foley 6, Becker 1
Becker lost a five-run affair at home against Foley Thursday.
Foley got things started in the second inning when Alex Foss singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Foley pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning when Chris Plante hit a solo homer and an error scored two more runs for Foley.
Plante led the Falcons to victory on the hill. He allowed eight hits and one run over seven innings, striking out seven.
Matthew Krenz took the loss for Becker. He allowed 12 hits and six runs over five and a third innings, striking out eight.
Nathanael Nelson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Bulldogs.
