The Becker boys basketball team went 3-0 this week, beating Foley, St. Francis and Chisago Lakes to improve to 6-4.
Becker 70, Foley 54
The boys traveled to Foley last Friday night and took advantage of a superb second half to pull out a win over the Falcons by 16.
Nick Mittelstaedt once again led the Bulldogs in scoring with 17. He also had four rebounds and seven assists.
Foley was led by Caleb Dahlstrom with 14.
Becker shot 51% from the floor, compared to just 38% for the Falcons. The Bulldogs made nine of 25 three-point shots and were five-of-15 from the charity stripe.
Cade Callahan finished with 15 points in 26 minutes and had eight rebounds and two assists.

Bulldogs 76, Saints 55
Tuesday, the Bulldogs hit the road for St. Francis High School and came away with a 21-point win.
Another strong second half propelled the Bulldogs as they outscored the Saints 42-27 in the final frame.
Mittelstaedt continued his superb play and tallied 20 points on five-of-12 shooting and three, three-pointers. He also tallied nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Matthew Bothun led the Saints with 14 points.
Becker’s defense proved to be the difference as they pulled down 32 rebounds and held the Saints to 32% shooting from the floor. They contested St. Francis’ long balls as they made just four three-pointers out of 28 attempts.

The Bulldogs came out hot and built a five-point lead by halftime, then held on in the second half Thursday evening at home.
Behind Mittelstaedt’s 20 points, Becker went up 32-27 and finished strong in the second half with 36 points. The Wildcats tallied 27 in the first, 34 in the second.
CL’s Andrew Koehler was a one-man wrecking ball as he notched 22 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in the contest. Ethan Thompson contributed 14 points, two rebounds and three assists.
On the Bulldogs side, Knute had a strong showing, scoring 18 points.
