Senior guard Mitchell Waldorf had 16 points to lead Sauk Rapids past host Becker, 68-64 last Friday night.

 

Michael Veldman had 22 points to lead Becker (5-3).

 

Camden Jackson (15), Kobe Boraas (11) Casey Lynch (10) also scored in double-figures for the Storm (3-2 Central Lakes, 4-6 overall).

 

Junior forward Andrew Davalos finished with 13 points and junior forward Dillon Radunz added 12 for the Bulldogs.

 

After eight games, Becker has outscored their opponents 441 to 420, averaging 55 points a game. They are averaging  27 rebounds, nine assists and 1.5 steals a game.

 

Veldman is the team’s top scorer, averaging 18.6 points a game followed by Zack Moeller (7.1), Blake Barthel (6.6) and Davalos (6.4).

 

Becker played at St. Francis Friday, then traveled to St. Cloud State University Saturday to play Rocori (full report on game sin next week’s Citizen). They are then off for the holidays until after the first of the year.
