Both the Becker Bulldog and Big Lake Hornet boys basketball teams were honored this week for their successful 2021 basketball campaigns.

In the Mississippi 8 Conference, the team from Princeton captured first place with a 13-0 conference record and a 17-1 overall record. St. Francis was second at 11-3 and 12-7. Chisago Lakes took third (8-6, 10-9) and Becker took fourth (7-7, 9-10). The Hornets captured fifth place (5-7, 6-10), Monticello sixth (5-9, 6-13), Cambridge-Isanti seventh (3-11, 3-15) and North Branch eighth (2-11, 2-16).

The conference MVP was Hayden Stay of Princeton.

The all-conference team consisted of three Bulldogs and two Hornets including Eric Seavert (BB), Nick Knute (BB), Brady Paumen (BB), Jack Iverson (BL) and Wyatt Windhorst (BL).

The Bulldogs captured the top honor for highest GPA with a 3.64. Big Lake finished fifth with a GPA of 3.42.
