Bulldogs Can’t Find The “W’s”

 
The Becker boys basketball team dropped two games this week to fall to 5-10 on the season.
 
Foley 77, Becker 70
 
Becker hosted the Falcons of Foley Friday night but lost by seven points.
 
Ali Kourouma did most of the damage, tallying 25 points for the Falcons. He was helped by the 18 points from Drew Beier and 13 from George Brenny.
Becker was led by Sam Ricker’s 18. Nick Mittelsteadt was close behind with 16 and Brandon Gustafson notched 14.
 
Becker scoring: S. Ricker 18, Mittelsteadt 16, Gustafson 14, Cade Callahan 11, Sam Koubsky 7 and Carter Hietala 4.
 
Foley scoring: Kourouma 25, Beier 18, Brenny 13, Alex Foss 10, Jacob Hageman 9 and Drew Storkamp 2.
 
Rocori 77, Becker 58
 
Tuesday, Becker hit the road for Rocori High School and lost by 19.
 
It was a close game in the first half, with the two teams trading baskets for most of the first 18 minutes. By halftime, Rocori held a slim, five-point lead at 32-27. However, they exploded for 45 points in the final frame to walk away with a comfortable win.
 
Corbyn Alexander led the Spartans with 17 points. He got help from Luke Humpert (14), Andrew Anderson (12), Brett Sowada (6), Blake Miller (5), Mason Roos (5), Tucker Haakenson (5), Charlie Matuska (2) and D.J. Kron (2). 
 
Becker was led by Ricker’s 19 points. He got help from Gustafson (18), Mittelsteadt 10, Callahan 10 and Eric Seavert 1.
 
Becker vs. Zimmerman
 
The Bulldogs traveled to Zimmerman Thursday. No information was provided to the Citizen-Tribune by press time.
