The Becker Bulldog volleyball team lost a pair of matches this week, but also used one match to honor staff members.

Monday’s loss to Annandale featured some very good volleys, and was also dubbed Staff Appreciation Night, with each player hosting a school staff member who had made an impact in the athlete’s life.

Game scores for the loss to the Cardinals were 18-25, 14-25 and 25-27.  The Bulldogs mounted a furious effort in the third set, but couldn’t force another.

Kenna Hennessey had a season record of 25 digs in the match, while Payton Treptau led the offensive effort with seven kills.

Tuesday evening, Becker fell to North Branch 0-3 with game scores of 15-25, 14-25 and 14-25.

“Our back row was working hard with Kenna Hennessey and Ady Petty totaling 28 digs for the match,” Coach Bo said. 

The Bulldogs played host to St. Francis on Thursday evening in another Mississippi 8 Conference match that doubled as Youth Night, as well as Homecoming.
