The Becker volleyball team picked up a nice M8 Conference win last week in a five set victory over the Big Lake Hornets.

Scores for the match were: 22-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-27, and 15-8. 

“This game was our Senior Night, honoring our seven incredible seniors that represent Becker Volleyball to the highest level: Adyson Petty, Courtney Gass, Rylee Gunderson, Jaiden Messick, Elyanna Kuklok, Kylie Perkins, and Brynn Koste,” Coach Bo said.  “We had a record high of 101 team digs and 52 team kills.”

Kenna Hennessey led the way with 40 digs, while Payton Treptau had 18 kills for the Bulldogs.

Mora Tourney

Last Saturday, Becker went to Mora for a tournament and came away 2-2 on the day, falling to Rush City and Barnum before defeating Aitkin and Braham.

“We had a lot of fun at this tournament,” Coach Bo said.  “We had 92 kills, 13 aces, and 139 digs as a team in nine total sets played.”

Vs. Monticello

Tuesday night, Becker finished conference play with a 0-3 loss to Monticello, as the veteran Magic proved to be a stellar foe.

Upcoming

The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a Thursday night game at St. Cloud Apollo and a Monday matchup at Watertown-Mayer.  The Section 8AAA tournament will commence on October 23.
