Saints

In the win over the Saints, Becker picked up victories in 6 of the 7 matches. Including singles wins for Moe, Nuest, Brown and Croal.

In the doubles matches, the teams of Peterson - Gott (6-2, 6-2) and Drehmel - Anderson (7-5, 4-6, 8-6) were victorious.

Wildcats

Against Chisago Lakes, the Bulldogs succumbed to the experience-laden Wildcats and dropped a 5-2 contest.

In this match, Brown (#3) and Croal (#4) picked up the lone wins for the Bulldogs. The doubles teams were also competitive, as two of the duos took their opponents into the tiebreaker set before falling just short.

Head Coach Nate Bucher had listed the Wildcats as one of the top teams in the M8 Conference based on their experienced lineup and his young squad came up a bit short. But he is confident they are ready to rally and continue to improve, and this will be needed as the schedule doesn’t get much easier.

Thursday the team was slated to host North Branch, while they traveled to Buffalo on Saturday (today) to participate in an invitational tournament against some top competition.
