Bulldog girls go 1-1 in M8 play

The Becker girls basketball team finds itself in full Mississippi8 Conference mode, and the team finished 1-1 in its most recent games.

Vs. Saints

Last Friday, the team fell 54-47 to the St. Francis Saints.

Becker fell behind 26-18 after the first half before outscoring the Saints by a point in the second stanza.  

Becker was aggressive all game, going to the free throw line 25 times, however making just 16 of those shots.

Becker was a little cold from beyond the arc, making just one three-point shot in the opening half of play.  

Eighth-grader Andie Changamire was outstanding for Becker, scoring 21 points as she went to the hoop all night and ended up with 14 appearances at the charity stripe, making 11.  Tess Brown chipped in nine points, while Josie Reckelberg had seven, and Lauren Croal and Adele Changamire each had five points.

Vs. North Branch

Tuesday night, Becker got back in the win column with a nice 60-36 win over North Branch on the road.

Becker pulled away in the first half, taking a 36-19 lead into the intermission before extending their lead throughout the second half.
