The Becker girls basketball team went on the road last Friday and came away with a convincing 73-27 win over their Hwy. 10 rivals from Big Lake.
Eleven different Bulldogs scored in the game, as Coach Dan Baird cleared the bench after his team scored 40 first half points and held the Hornets to just 10 points before intermission.
Andie Changamire was too much to handle in the first half, as she scored 17 points in the opening stanza and had 27 for the game. Six different Bulldogs scored in the opening half, as Adele Changamire added eight, including a pair of three pointers.
The win pushed Becker to a 6-1 conference record, while Big Lake fell to 1-5.

Vs. Stewartville
Monday, Becker fell to Stewartville in close game, 55-62.
“Our girls played super hard and it was a one possession game throughout,” Baird said.
Becker trailed by just one point, 29-28 at halftime, before playing a back and forth affair throughout the second half.
Mrnak had her best game as a Bulldog, dropping 20 points, including five three-pointers as she was on fire from long range.
Andie Changamire joined her in double figures with 13 and other scorers included Adele Changamire six, Reckelberg eight, Stach five, and Tess Brown three.
Vs. Magic
Tuesday night, Becker hosted the Monticello Magic and fell in the M8 Conference game, 73-42. The Bulldogs faced the Magic, who remain unbeaten on the season at 16-0 and are ranked #3 in the state in Class AAA, and played a decent first half, trailing 37-23 at halftime. But the veteran Magic team pulled away in the second half to seal the win.
Andie Changamire led the Becker effort with 13 points, while Lauren Croal and Tess Brown each chipped in eight. Other scorers for Becker included Juliana Stash with five, and Eilidh Mrnak with six.

Next up for the Bulldogs was a Thursday night game at Chisago Lakes before heading on the road Tuesday night to take on the North Branch Vikings.
