Boys Take Two Of Three To Improve To 6 10

The Becker Bulldog boys basketball team went 2-1 this week with wins over Albany and Foley and a loss to Rocori.
 
Becker 73, Albany 71
It took two overtimes for the Bulldogs to conquer the Huskies last Friday night at home. Becker rallied from one point down in the first half, tied it at the end of regulation, then matched the Huskies in the first OT before outscoring them by two in OT 2.
 
Brandon Gustafson was on fire as he netted 25 points in the win. Lucas Dertinger also scored in double digits (15) as well as Sam Ricker (10).
 
The Huskies were led by Jordan Schiffler, who had 20 points.
 
Becker scoring: Gustafson 25, Dertinger 15, Ricker 10, Cade Callahan 8, Nick Mittelsteadt 6, Justin Kringler 4, Caleb Quernemoen 3 and Gabe Lindbom 2.

Rocori 58, Becker 53
The Spartans jumped out to a nine point lead in the first half and powered their way to a five-point win Saturday at Becker.
 
Rocori was led by the one-two punch of Sam Olson, who netted 19 points and Matthew Waletzko, who scored 18.
 
Becker was led by Travis Myers, who tallied 15 points in the loss.
 
Becker scoring: Myers 15, Quernemoen 12, Ricker 11, Dertinger 6, Kringler 4, Mittelsteadt 3, Gustafson 2.
 
Rocori scoring: Olson 19, Waletzko 18, Mason Primus 12, Jacob Kooiman 7, Corbyn Alexander 2.
 
Becker 70, Foley 55
The Bulldogs got scoring from eight different players and cruised to an easy win over Foley Thursday night.
 
The game was tight after the first 18 minutes and the teams headed to the locker room knotted at 23 in the first. However, as Foley improved to score 32 in the last half, the Bulldogs exploded for 47 to capture their third win in the last four games.
 
Becker was led by Dertinger, who sank five two-pointers, three three-pointers and four free throws to lead the team. He finished with 23 points.
 
Foley was led by Drew Beier, who tallied 20 points. 
 
Becker scoring: Dertinger 23, Gustafson 17, Ricker 9, Quernemoen 6, Kringler 5, Callahan 5, Mittelsteadt 2, Josh Fobbe 2.
 
Foley scoring: Beier 20, Alex Foss 11, Ali Kourouma 9, Jackson Sahlstrom 6, Drew Storkamp 4, George Brenny 3, Caleb Dahlstrom 2.
