Boys Soccer Team Returns Plenty Talent

Becker boys soccer season kicked off this year and plans to be soaring to new heights.

The boys are led by their Head Coach Alex Jurek and Assistant Coaches Damien Klug and Nick Crowley.

The team captains for the teams are returning Jordan Gruenes, 11th, and Jack Belde, 11th.  Both are excited to start the season and the experiences that while happen this year.

The team captains this year feel that this team has much potential and are ready to play hard.

Joining them on varsity are 16 other team members that range from seniors to freshmen.  The team this year is new, since 17 seniors graduated from the team last year, but don’t let that fool you!  Another returning member this year is Cale McDowell, who has been on varsity before.

Boys soccer was second last year in their conference and are looking to winning it this year! To do that they want to focus this year as a building year on the team.

Becker boys soccer is looking forward to what this season has in store.  They feel their biggest competition is going to be Monticello, since the team didn’t graduate as many seniors last year.

Another school to look out for is Cathedral.  Last year Cathedral was number one and Becker has yet to have a win against them! The team is looking for that year to be this year.

Boys soccer is going to have an amazing year this year! Make sure to go out and show your Becker Pride at their sporting events.

As Captain Jordan Gruenes stated,” It’s more than just soccer.”
