Last Saturday the Becker boys soccer team played against Sartell, but lost.
The first half of the game was eventful as both team fought for control of the ball and bringing the ball closer to the opposite team's goal.
Eventually, Sartell had gained its first point after many attempts to get the ball into the net that was guarded by Parker Lahr.
Shortly after that Sartell had gained another goal, after keeping the pressure on the Becker boys and picking up their defense.
After scoring a second point Sartell increased their pressure, but Becker fought back and drove the battle away from the goal.
The battle raged with many attempts made from both teams and many amazing saves from both teams as well.
With time ticking away, Sartell scored their third point. The bulldogs tried to fight back, but weren’t able to prevent Sartell from getting two more goals. Leaving the score after the first half.
In the second half, Becker’s defensive strategy was switched, but unfortunately didn’t work. The team fought back with everything they had, but Sartell got in another goal.
As the time progressed, the ball changed sides and both teams made several attempts to score, but just couldn’t seem to dodge the goalies on both teams.
Eventually, Sartell scored their final point with a few minutes left on the clock. Ending the game.
The Becker boys team has stated that they are going to take this time to learn what they can do to improve as a team and that they are all proud of each member of the team.
