Super hot game – 95º at 1:30 p.m. Becker got junior goaltender A.J. Buntrock back from injury.
Buntrock saved 10 of 14 shots on the day. Top defensive performers where Parker Seeley with three caused turnovers and Kaj Fritsch with five ground balls and two blocked shots.
Senior captain Blake Angell had three assists to top the team and scores came from Jacob Eich (3), Nate Kerzman (3), Justin Reichle (1), Austin Berning (1) and Jacob Berning (1).
Becker 13, Rocori 2
Rocori started quick to go up 2-0 on Becker but those were the last goals they would see all night.
The Bulldogs rallied to score 13 during the remainder of the game. Goalie Buntrock saved five of seven shots on the night. Senior defender Mitch Soenneker had three caused turnovers and Angell topped the team with nine ground balls.
Freshman midfielder Calvin Fritsch won eight of 12 face offs. Tops in assists was Nate Kerzman with four. Bulldog scores came from Angell (4), Eich (3), Corbin Kollar (3), Kerzman (1), Jacob Berning (1) and Austin Berning (1).
Becker moves on to play the seventh ranked team in the state in section quarterfinals in Wayzata.
