Boys Lacrosse looking to improve in 2025

The Big Lake/Princeton boys’ lacrosse team had their best season in program history last spring, achieving their best record and winning a playoff game for the first time ever.

The team will look to replace 10 seniors from the 2024 squad. Despite losing that many players from last year, this year’s roster features plenty of players who have competed at the varsity level over the last few years. This year’s roster will look to build on the success of 2024 and achieve even more in 2025.

Brad Weber is back at the helm for the team, and he is joined by assistants Tyler Heyen, Brayden Bleymeyer, Caden Weber, and Colter Thieke.

This year’s roster is made up of Attackers Skyler Lenart, Landon Bagne, Gavin Krebs, and Rowen Cremers. Offensive Midfielders are Jack Midas, Beau McCrone, Nick Akerman, Tate Spilde, and Finneus Roberdeau. Defensive Midfielders are Noah Hanson, Noah Ballweber, Carter Stromberg, Blayne Herman, Brady Stangl, and Beaudin Wippler. Defensemen are Alex John, Ethan Grafnitz, Jack Hess, and John Westvig. And Hank Kuchera is back at goaltender after leading the state of Minnesota in saves last season.

The Huskies will open up the season with a home game against Brainerd on April 10. The rest of April looks like 4/17 @ Monticello, 4/22 @ Becker, 4/26 @ Cloquet, and 4/29 vs. ROCORI. Then May goes 5/1 @ Chisago Lakes, 5/2 @ Sartell, 5/6 @ Elk River, 5/8 vs. Becker, 5/9 @ Brainerd, 5/13 vs. St. Cloud, 5/16 vs. Park Center, and the regular season finishes 5/20 vs. Minneapolis. Section playoffs begin on May 27th.
