Boys Cross Country Places Second At Home

Tuesday, the Becker boys cross country ran their home meet on the Pebble Creek Golf course and took second out of 10 teams with 70 points. 
 
The course consisted of various hills and turns that were slippery due to rain before the meet.  
 
Becker boys had broken many personal record and seasonal bests adding to their list of accomplishments. 
 
Basil Ricker was Becker’s first runner and placed fourth at 17:20.032.  He was shortly followed by his brother, Sam Ricker, who placed sixth at 17:33.442 and broke his personal record by 43 seconds. 
 
Luke Pappenfus was the next runner to cross the line at 18:24.121, placing him 16th.  Six seconds later Justin Kringler dashed in at a time of 18:30.578, earning him 19th. 
 
Becker’s next runner was Jonathan Novak, who placed 25th at 18:41.399.  Following him was Jake Nelson, who took 40th at 19:18.289 and broke his PR by 15 seconds.  Lukas Karel Becker’s last varsity runner and took 50th at 19:46.782.  
 
Becker boy’s JV took fourth place out of eight teams with 98 points. 
 
Bennett Edling crossed the finish line in 11th place at 19:40.898 and was followed by David Myres, who finished 14th at 19:47.680.  Shortly after, Cade Stommes came in 18th at a time of 20:02.941. 
 
Aaron Gregory placed 23rd at 20:07.641 and Lachlan Lahr placed shortly behind in 32nd at 20:43.879.  Wyatt Hiltner crossed at 21:28.719 placing him 40th in the race.  
 
Right behind Wyatt was Blake Soenneker who placed 41th at 21:29.969 and wrapped up the first seven runners. 
 
Nathan Zimmerman came in 57th and was directly followed by Riley Devin, who placed 58th.  Emery Olson and Evan Schafer both crossed the finish line together earning 61st and 62nd place.  
 
In 66th was Brock Ramola and Adrian Johnson was next in 69th place. Cris Rothfork earned 72nd place, Erik Parson earned 80th place, and Jack Budd earned 85th place. 
 
All JV runners finished before 23 minutes, worked hard, and pushed each other to keep moving.
