Boys Bb Team Loses To Albany, 67 60

The Becker boys basketball team hosted Albany Tuesday night and lost by seven.

Sam Ricker exploded for 18 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Huskies held on in this Granite Ridge Conference matchup.

Albany was led by three players who each tallied 14 points. They included Nolan Rueter, Andrew Hahn and Adam Winkels.

The game was tight from the start, where the teams traded baskets up-and-down the court until the horn sounded for halftime with Albany leading 31-29.
The Huskies came out of the break hungrier as they outscored Becker by nine in the second half to pull away.

Becker’s Gabe Lindbom notched 14 points in the loss. Other scorers were: Carter Hietala (9), Brandon Gustafson (7), Cade Callahan (7), Nick Mittelsteadt (3) and Sam Koubsky (2).

Albany got eight from Isaac Nett, six from Jordan Schiffler, five from Ethan Navratil and three each from Mitchell Reber and Cameron Gaebel to close out their scoring.
