Boys Basketball Team Loses Two, Falls To 6 8

The Bulldogs dropped to 6-8 with two losses this week, one to Albany last week and another to Cathedral Thursday.
 
Cathedral 68, Becker 60
 
The Bulldogs traveled to St. Cloud to take on Cathedral Thursday night and lost by eight.
 
Mitchell Plombon of St. Cloud led all scorers with 21 points and Michael Schaefer had 15 to lead the Crusaders (5-1 Granite Ridge, 9-5 overall) past the Bulldogs (4-2, 6-9) in a Granite Ridge Conference game Thursday night.
 
Jake Fobbe had 16 points for Becker and Matt Yoerg scored 11.
 
Becker led 34-33 at halftime, but couldn’t sustain the lead or add to it in the second half. It was Becker’s third loss in a row and ninth in the last 10 games.
 
Albany 68, Becker 51
 
Last Friday, Becker headed to Albany to take on the Huskies and lost by 17.
 
Kyle Birr had 15 points and nine assists for Albany in a Granite Ridge Conference win over Becker.
 
Neal Anderson and Danny Odenthal each added 12 points for the Huskies (6-0 GRC, 10-3 overall).
 
Jack Conzemius had 12 points to lead Becker.
 
Albany led 35-23 at halftime and never looked back.
 
Albany leads the Granite Ridge Conference with an 11-3 record.
