The Hornets made last Saturday’s long road trip well worth it with top three finishes by all teams. Competing in the AA/AAA category along with Big Lake was Detroit Lakes, Bemidji, Moorhead, Pequot Lakes, and Marshall.
Varsity jazz took third place, which was the program’s lowest finish of the day. JV jazz posted their second highest score in program history en route to second place, and B-Squad jazz took first in their division.
Varsity kick also posted a new program best with their score of 322/500, which was good enough for second place. They finished just three points shy of the host Lakers. JV jazz rounded out the day with a second-place finish.
This Thursday will be the team’s final competition of 2024 when they travel North Branch for the Mississippi 8 Conference championships.
