The Big Lake Hornets 10UA fast pitch softball team won the Monsta Nationals Gold Tournament in Bloomington, July 24-27. 

The victories were accomplished due to dominate pitching performances especially Adriana Ulvog. Adriana racked up 46 strike outs and six straight wins to vault her team to the win in the championship over Omega 10UA.

Ulvog, Brylynn Mevissen and Sophia Dombrovski were a force at the plate leaving pitchers helpless against their quality at bats.

Sunday’s Games

Adriana Ulvog struck out 12 batters as Big Lake’s starting pitcher on Sunday at Dred Scott Ballfield. Big Lake defeated the Storm 10UA 5-1.

Ulvog struck out 10 hitters in a game versus Soderville Law 10UA in which Big Lake won 7-4. Ulvog surrendered just two hits and four runs over four innings while walking two.

Ulvig continued her dominance, striking out 15 Medford Black 10UA batters in the 5-0 win where she gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking four.

Saturday’s Games

Big Lake defeated Eden Prairie 10UA Red 9-6 where Ulvog pitched three innings and gave up no hits and one run while striking out nine. She also had seven total bases with a triple, home run and a stolen base.
