The Hornet gymnastics team hosted Cambridge-Isanti last Thursday in a Mississippi 8 matchup. The visiting Bluejackets came away with a 140.3500-137.1250 victory. 

Allie Lu was the top performer for Big Lake, finishing in the top five in three categories including first place on the beam. She also took second in all around and third on the floor. 

Calla Morris also secured three top fives for the Hornets. She finished third on the beam, fourth in all around, and second on the floor. Abby Deavel took fifth on the beam and Britta White finished fourth on the floor. 

The team’s next competition will be the section meet on Feb. 14 at North Branch High School.
