On Saturday, the Hornet girls’ basketball team defeated Chisago Lakes 52-36. The win was Big Lake’s second in conference play and third on the season. 

Vs. Princeton

Last Thursday, the team traveled to Princeton where they lost 72-55 to the Tigers. Mya Knapp led the team with 19 points. Other scorers were Greta Layton with nine, Ashley Fitzgibbons with eight, Shiloh Elliott with seven, and Kaelyn Besler and Alexa Parks with six apiece. 

Vs. Thunder

The Hornets were defeated 74-41 by Zimmerman at home on Tuesday night. 

Up Next

Next up for Big Lake are a pair of conference road games on Thursday and Saturday at St. Francis and Cambridge-Isanti. Then they will take on Monticello next Tuesday at home.
