Behnke, 2 Others Go To Taekwondo Nationals

Three local Taekwondo athletes participated in the United Taekwondo Alliance Grand Nationals in Shreveport, LA last week.
 
Each participant had to place in the top three in their division at a regional tournament in order to compete at nationals. 
 
Eight-year-old Sam Kasowski fared well, but did not place.
 
Kandyce Behnke — owner/ chief instructor at Vision TKD — tested at the National Black Belt Testing event, obtaining the rank of fourth degree black belt. She was also recognized as the UTA Female Instructor of the Year, and took silver in both Patterns and Sparring in the third/fourth degree Black Belt Women's Division.
 
Tera Kasowski received gold in both Patterns and One-Step Sparring.
 
Vision TKD had 11 more athletes qualify, but they were unable to attend.
