A group of Becker girls sixth-graders traveled to Champlin Park High School last weekend to compete in the Grade State Youth Basketball Tournament.
They captured the championship amongst 16 teams.
Becker first took on Cambridge-Isanti and won 42-20. Next up for the girls was Stewartville Maroon and the Bulldogs knocked them off by a score of 40-37.
In the semi-finals, Becker went up against Blaine White and won 33-19. In the championship game, Becker faced off against Austin and won 27-26.
The team is coached by Lee Croal and consists of Reese Haussmann, Ellie Studier, Hannah Dierkes, Kailey Thompson, Alli Groskreutz, Payton Emerson, Lauren Croal, Madison Bass, Olivia Nieken and Emily Huffman.
