Becker Wrestling is kicking off its season with high goals and a team ready to fight.
The wrestling team is led by Head Coach Matt Aho, who is joined by Assistant Coaches Dustin Weege and Jeff Zimmer. They are also assisted by student managers Alli Zimmer, Megan Dudek, Avery Tamm, and Resse Arbuckle.
The team captains this year for the team are Blake Paulson (Senior), Nicholas Radunz (Senior), Logan Jurek (Junior), Kevin Andres (Junior), and Michael James (Junior). The captains this year are excited to lead the wrestling team, motivate their teammates, and help them focus to push themselves to their limits.
Wrestling has currently 43 participants grades seventh through 12 and has many new teammates coming in this year, giving the wrestling team close to a full line up, which is something the wrestling team hasn’t done.
The team this has big hopes of making it to the section finals and feel that Foley will be their biggest competition this year, which is making them look forward to competing in Foley.
Becker Wrestling competed Friday at Foley and Monticello. Dec. 8, the wrestling team is competing at the Big Lake invitation, so show your support!
