Becker wrestling is unstoppable

The Becker Bulldog wrestling team hosted a triangular Jan. 16 where they competed against the Big Lake Hornets and the North Branch Vikings. The Bulldogs came out victorious after beating both squads.

Becker vs. Big Lake

Jacob Williams (107) and Boston Kuschel (121) took out their opponents by pins in their matches. Williams pinned his opponent in a first round fall, while Kuschel took his opponent out in a second round fall. Rylan Kujawa (114) beat his opponenet in a 10-0 major decision and garnered four points. 

Nolan Jurek (127) bested his opponent in a 13-4 major decision. Three points were added to Becker’s score after Bennett Kujawa (133) took his opponent out in a 9-6 decision. Jake Rosenow (139), Landen Kujawa (145), and Kaden Nicolas (152) all beat their opponents by pin. Aiden Golley (215) won his match in a 2-1 decision and earned Becker three points. Final score resulted in a 44 - 22 win for Becker.

Becker vs. North Branch

Jacob Williams (107) beat his opponent in a first round fall. Boston Kuschel (121) was awarded six points for a forfeit. Nolan Jurek (127) took out his opponent in a 18-1 technical fall. Bennett Kujawa (133), Tyler Hall (139), and Landen Kujawa (145) all won their matches by forfeit. Kaden Nicolas (152) bested his opponent in a first round fall. Aiden Golley (215) won his match in a first round fall. Final score was Becker 53, North Branch 20.

Quadrangular

On Jan. 17, Becker traveled to compete in a quad against the Rockford Rockets, the Annandale Cardinals, and the Montevideo Mohawks.

Becker vs. Montevideo

Rylan Kujawa (114) and Bennett Kujawa (127) defeated their opponents by technical falls. Boston Kuschel (121) won his match by a 11-3 major decision. Nolan Jurek (133) beat his opponent in a 18-3 technical fall. Landen Kujawa (145) and Brayden Boots (160) beat their opponents by second round falls. Kaden Nicolas (152) won his match by a 19-7 major decision. Owen Angell (172) pinned his opponent in a first round fall. Final score was Becker 41, Montevideo 24.

Becker vs. Annandale

Aaron Malikowski (107) and Jacob Williams (114) won their matches with Malikowski winning by first round fall and Williams winning by forfeit. Boston Kuschel (121) and Jake Rosenow (145) beat their opponents by a 19-4 technical fall. Nolan Jurek (127) bested his opponent in a 7-1 decision. 

Bennett Kujawa (133) and Kaden Nicolas (160) beat their opponents in second round falls. Another 12 points were added to the team score after Owen Angell (172) and Aiden Golley (215) bested their opponents in first round falls. Brayden Boots (152) won his match after he pinned his opponent in a third round fall. Final score was Becker 5, Annandale 16.

Becker vs. Rockford

Jacob Williams (114) beat his opponent in a 5-0 decision which gave Becker three points. Tyler Hall (133) bested his opponent in a 19-3 technical fall. Jake Rosenow (139) beat his opponent by technical fall. Landen Kujawa (145) and Aiden Golley (215) won their matches by first round falls which gave Becker 12 points. Boston Kuschel (121), Bennett Kujawa (127), Kaden Nicolas (152), Brayden Boots (160), Owen Angell (172), Kendrick Tomasko (189), and Jackson Duncan (285) automatically received six points each for Becker due to their opponents forfeiting. Final score was Becker 67, Rockford 3.

Vs. HLWW

On Saturday the 18th, Becker traveled to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School to compete in a tournament. 

Jacob Williams (107) placed third after winning two of the three matches he wrestled by either pin or major decision. Boston Kuschel (121) won two out of the four matches he wrestled - both by technical falls. Nolan Jurek (127) won one out of his three matches by a 10-2 major decision. 

Bennett Kujawa (127) was awarded first place after he won all three of his matches. One match was by pin, one by technical fall, and one by decision. Tyler Hall (133) was awarded fifth place after he won three out of the four matches he wrestled. One match was won by pin, one by technical fall, and one by major decision. 

Jake Rosenow (139) was awarded third place after he won three of his four matches. Two wins were by technical fall and one by major decision. Landen Kujawa (145) was awarded first place after he won all three of his matches, one by pin, one by technical fall, and one by major decision. Jackson Fischer (145) won one out of three matches he wrestled by a second round fall. 

Kaden Nicolas (152) was awarded first place after he won all three of his matches by technical falls. Brayden Boots (160) was awarded third place after he won two out of his three matches by major decisions.
