Becker wrestlers secured their win against Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield, Delano, and Annandale-Maple Lake on Dec. 21 at Annandale-Maple Lake.
Becker’s best score of the night was a 59-12 against Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield. Boston Kuschel started his match off with a first round fall against his opponent from Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield in the 107-lb weight class. Following Kuschel was Bennett Kujawa in the 114-lb weight class. He was able to take the fall against Decker Sullivan, which boosted Becker’s team score up to 12-0.
Blayne Kuschel (121-lb.) and Nolan Jurek (127-lb.) kept the momentum going as they managed to pin their opponents in a second round decision. Together, they contributed a total of 12 points to the teams overall score.
In a first round decision, Tyler Hall pinned Felix Franco in the 133-lb weight class, which brought the team score up to 30-0. After Hall, came Brayden Boots in the 139-lb weight class. He provided five team points when he ended his match in a tech fall against Owen Culbertson.
Kaden Nicolas, Drew May, Landen Kujawa, and Jake Rosenow ended their matches in first round falls. Each of them won six points, which raised the teams score to 59-0. Due to Becker’s last wrestling matches not being won, the teams overall score ended at 59-12 against Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield.
Vs. Delano
Becker wrestlers continue their winning streak against Delano as they ended with a final score of 51-21.
Boston Kuschel, Bennett Kujawa, and Gavin Ratz matches ended with their Delano opponents forfeiting. At this point, Becker’s team score was 18-0 with Nolan Jurek wrestling next. Jurek was able to end his match with a decision 7-0 against Isaiah Depa.
The matches of Brayden Boots and Jackson Fischer ended in second round falls which raised the team score to 33-0. In the 145-lb weight class, Delano forfeited to Kaden Nicolas. Drew May and Aiden Golley were the last wrestlers to end their matches in second round falls to win points for Becker. Becker forfeited in the last match against Delano and ended the teams overall score at 51-21.

The final matches of the night took place against Annandale-Maple Lake.
Becker wrestlers beat Annandale-Maple Lake with a final score of 40-26. Boston Kuschel and Bennett Kujawa ended their matches with first round falls against their opponents which started Becker’s team score at 12-0. Tyler Hall and Brayden Boots ended their matches in three point decisions.
Becker’s team score was 18-9 until Kaden Nicolas received six points for pinning his opponent in round two. Landen Kujawa’s match ended with his Annandale-Maple Lake opponent forfeiting.
Drew Mays’ match however, ended with a major decision 10-1, which resulted in the teams score being increased to 34-9. Owen Angell was the last Becker wrestler to score for the team. His match ended with a second round fall against Jack Nilson, which provided the team with six points.
The final score ended at 40-26 with Becker wrestlers coming out on top.
