STARTING PITCHER for the Bulldogs, Andrew Stanger had a great game Tuesday against Milaca. Stanger pitched the first four innings only allowing three earned runs.

Becker Wins Home Opener

Thursday Becker took on Mora at home. Casey Vesledahl started the game for the Bulldogs going five innings. He did an amazing job giving up one run on three hits with a great four strike outs.
 
In the sixth inning, Jake Fobbe came on and finished the game with no hits and no runs ending with two strike outs.
 
Becker scored a single run in the first inning and scored three more runs in the fourth. A key hit two out base loaded two run hit by Andrew Stanger. There was one run scored in the fifth inning. Ending score was 5-1. The boys are now 2-1 in the conference play.
 
Bulldogs faced off with Milaca for the home opener. Milaca scored three runs in the first three hits with two errors off starting pitcher Andrew Stanger. Stanger went the first four innings allowing three earned runs. 
 
John Mann came on in the fifth inning and shut Milaca out with no hits no runs and one strike out. After falling behind in the first inning the Bulldogs came back and went ahead in the bottom of the second. Eric Blomgren led off with a walk, stole second base and scored on a Tyler Thorson base hit. Thorson stole second base and scored on a by Matt Yoerg. Clayton Gallus was walked and a hit by Morgan Kramer loaded the bases.
 
With two out, Jake Fobbe delivered a base hit scoring Yoerg and Gallus. Becker scored four more runs in the third and five more in the fourth. One run each in the fifth and sixth ending the game by the ten run rule. Next week the Bulldogs are on the road for two games, Monday in St. Cloud and Thursday at Albany played in Avon.
