Becker Softball is ready and excited to start the new season.
This year the captains are Jaimee Cook (senior), Lily Warren (senior), Allie Duncombe (junior), and Ady Petty (junior).
This past year, the team earned third place in conference and sections, but are hoping to improve this upcoming season. The team is hoping to re-compete for a conference and section championship.
“I think that we will definitely be competitive and have a chance at reaching those goals this year,” siad Head Coach Jason Baune.
With many of the team members working on their skills in the offseason, the chances of them making it all the way are high. Over the past three weeks, the girls have been able to practice outside on the turf and on their own fields to get ready for their up and coming games.
They started off their season with a couple of scrimmages before their first game that took place Wed., April 3 (weather permitting). As March ends and April begins, the team hopes to build work on bonding as well as defining roles for each player.
