Karli Kirk and Maddie Graning represented the Becker Bulldogs at state last weekend and did very well on a prodigious stage at the University of Minnesota campus.
Kirk, a junior, was a state qualifier in vault (9.4 section score) and she bounded to a sixth place finish.
Graning, a freshman, qualified for state in bars (8.6 section score) and floor (9.4 section score) exercises. She captured 15th place on bars and seventh place on floor in front of the throngs of fans who showed their support by attending the event last week.
Graning had a score of 9.3250 on floor and finished one spot behind Big Lake’s Calla Morris. On bars, Graning finished with a score of 8.6875.
For Kirk, she finished with a score of 9.4250, just .3375 off of first place winner Maggie Schander of Detroit Lakes.
