Emi Quill continues to break records for diving this season.  She broke her own met record from last year and the meet record while taking 1st place.  Sarah Woelfel took 3rd place in the diving event. 

 

They started the day with a lot of girls missing due to illnesses. The team is in the middle of the season and it's starting to show.  They continue to work very hard at practices and continue to drop times but the middle of the season is hard.  

 

Coach Tina Tamm says, “If we can get through the next two weeks and get everyone back and healthy - our post season will be great.”

 

The biggest time drop of the meet was Morgan Schrader who dropped 15 seconds on her 500 free.  There were 23 personal best times after this meet; the girls are swimming very well right now!

 

 

While it was another loss for the team, girls continue improving their times for their events and continue to qualify girls for the Section  meet.  New qualifiers and events go to:

 

Sydney Offerdahl in the 100 backstroke;

 

Arleigh Pudlick in the 100 backstroke.

 

There are five other girls that are within 1 - 3 seconds of their section time for their events.  If they continue to work hard at practice, they will be joining us at the section meet.  

 

Becker Girls Swimming and Diving will host St. Cloud Cathedral/St. John's Prep for a dual meet Thursday and then host the Section 5A True Team meet Oct. 6.
