The Becker girls’ soccer team is ready to get out on the field and start their season.
After stepping back in to the head coach position last year, Arnold Changamire is continuing his coaching for another year. The JV coach this year is Emily Barthel. The team’s record from last year was 8-7-2 with a first-time victory over Monticello Magic.
Andie Changamire (ninth grade) recorded the most goals from last year. Juliana Stach (10th grade) shows great potential coming in as the new goalie. Returning players include captains Avery Atwood (12th grade), Alyssa Kinney (11th grade), and Stella Bloch (11th grade). Other returning players include Adele Changamire (10th grade), Kali Schendzielos (10th grade), Lorelie Clouse (12th grade), Gracie Bermel (12th grade), Megan Person (12th grade).
The team goals for this team include winning a section game, moving up in the conference ranks, and maintaining their style of play.
Coach Arnold is excited to have this group of girls on the soccer field.
“This should be a really fun group to watch.” he said. “They have all bought in to our style of play and play as a team.”
