Becker girls lacrosse easily takes out competition

The Becker Bulldog girls lacrosse team took on Sauk Rapids/Sartell Storm’n Sabers on May 15. Both JV and Varsity destroyed their competition. 

JV Contest

JV started the night off with a 12-5 win. They started the game off strong with a recorded 10 draw control leads by Sammy Duncombe with (six). Scoring included Olivia Pudlick (five), Phoebe Grecula (three), Makenna Hanson (one), Sammy Duncombe (one), and Raya Dunderi (one). 

The season leading scorer is Olivia Pudlick with 21 goals followed by Phoebe Grecula with nine. 

Varsity Contest

Varsity followed JV with a 21-4 win trouncing of SRR. They left the Sabers in the dust by collecting 19 draw controls compared to the four from their opponent. The Bulldogs were doing so well that they decided to switch their attack players with their defense players to give them a chance to show off their shooting skills. 

Senior Morgan Vee graciously offered to switch places with freshmen Hannah Burthwick to give her the opportunity to score a varsity goal. 

There were 16 Bulldog players that scored during the game. Brynn Koste (three), Morgan Vee (two), Taylor Hanson (two), Lauren Biegler (two), Skyler Hanson (one), Courtney Gass (one), Kylie Perkins (one), Chloe Suchy (one), Avery Atwood (one), Alison Woodard (one), Chloe Spear (one), Qolbe Olson (one), Phoebe Grecula (one), Sammy Duncombe (one), Eloise Kreft (one), and Olivia Pudlick (one). 

Hannah Burthwick recorded three saves.
