The Becker girls’ cross-country team has had three meets this year so far. The girls are continuing to get better as the season progresses. 

The girls took first place at both the Apollo Early Bird Invite and the Princeton Invite. They followed that up by taking second place against 11 teams at the Rockford Rocket Run. 

Captains for the team this year include Naiya Hanson (12th grade) and Katelyn Brower (12th grade). 

The top runner so far in the season is Alyse Denne (eighth grade). The team was ranked 11 in Class AA in the latest coach’s poll. 

“We have high aspirations for the season,”  said Head Coach Erin Henkemeyer.
