Becker boys CC takes 2nd

The Becker boys’ cross country ran in Rockford’s annual Rocket Run at Corcoran on Sept. 4. The weather conditions were not ideal with the runners having to battle through the cold and rain.

The Bulldogs are competing with high levels in the 13 team event with the continued motto of “Work to Thrive in ‘25”. During this meet, the Bulldogs had to race against some of the best state-ranked teams and the team did not disappoint. The Bulldogs took second place with only four points separating them from the #3 ranked team from Orono.

With two first place finishes from previous meets in the season and this second place finish, the Bulldogs are off to a great start. They are currently ranked as the #4 team with many of the runners receiving personal records and season bests during this meet.

“I’m excited to see all that the team can accomplish this year,” said Head Coach Dustin Weege.  “Our whole crew of runners is progressing, and we have some plans to make some big things happen,”

The next meet for the Bulldogs takes place at the Little Falls Lucky Lindy where they will be competing against 22 teams.
