The Becker Bulldog boys’ cross country team competed in the State meet at the Les Bolstad Golf Course last week. Before they competed, the Bulldogs received a send-off with lots of encouragement, including Becker Section Individual Champs Ben Hubbard and Jesse Babler. 

The weather was perfect for the meet, and the Bulldogs accomplished feats never done before. The Bulldogs raced hard, and they pulled off an incredible fourth place finish. This will go down in history as the highest ever finish for the Bulldog boys’ cross country team. 

The all-state runner for the Bulldogs was senior Tanner Felton, and the three all-state academic runners for both the boys and the girls team were senior Parker Spindler, senior Katelyn Brower, and sophomore Laney Hodel. 

The girls’ cross country team also ran very well and placed ninth overall, which is two places above what they were ranked before going into the meet.
