The Becker boys cross country team hosted their annual Becker invitational at Pebble Creek Golf Course Thurs., Sept. 25.
Alex Swanson — with a time of 16:29.8 — became the first Bulldog varsity champion of the invitational since Tyson Ricker in 2022.
Tanner Felton (16:50) came in sixth. Parker Spindler (16:57) came in seventh and Evan Hubbard (17:21) came in eighth. The Bulldogs won the meet with a total of 43 points.
Lions Meet
Next, they traveled to the Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria for the 52nd Annual Lion’s Meet of Champions.
The boys placed fifth with their highest ever finish at the event.
Tanner Felton (16:40) placed 12th with Alex Swanson (16:41) a second behind. Evan Hubbard (17:24) was next with Parker Spindler (17:37) right behind. Next up was Brandt Hemmelgarn (18:19) and Holden Hubbard (18:31).
“We are continuing to improve in our racing strategies and plans as we progress in the season and as we keep ‘Working to Thrive in ‘25’,” said Head Coach Dustin Weege.
