It was archery madness in Becker last Friday and Saturday, as the Region 3 tournament was hosted at Becker Schools.
In all, over 1,400 archers and their families packed the school campus, local businesses and the entire community for the huge tournament.
The Becker archery program not only hosted the event, but also once again proved adept at hitting the targets with several top team and individual performances.
The middle school 3D team took first place, with Mason Lumley taking the top spot as an individual, firing a score of 287. Other finishers included: Jack Glenz, fourth (281); Ethan Luethmers, sixth (280); Quinn Williams, ninth (269); MaKenna Hanson, 10th (267).
In the bullseye category, the middle school finished in second place, as Lumley once again placed at the top, shooting an identical 287 to finish his excellent day. Other Bulldog finishers included: MaKenna Hanson, ninth (280); Bentley Trautner, 10th (281); Ethan Luethmers, 13th (279).
In the elementary division, the bullseye team took third overall, led by Avery Tschida, sixth (254); Vivian Manning, seventh (252); Reid Hanson, 10th (273); and Lili Nelson, 12th (248).
The elementary 3D was also third, led by Leah Lutgen, fourth (247); Avery Tschida, sixth (243); Parker Smith, seventh (271); Lili Nelson, 11th (232); Kylie Kasper, 13th (226); Charlie Aeshliman, 14th (251).
In the high school class, bullseye was seventh, led by Isabelle Meyer, fifth (286) and TJ Oeding, 14th (285), while 3D was also seventh with top performances from Samantha Lumley, 10th (275), and Addison Bertram, 12th (275).
In all, Becker had 237 archers who participated in the event.
