Basketball Team Gathers To Celebrate 2017 18 Season

The Becker boys basketball team gathered this week at the high school to celebrate their 2017-18 season and hand out much-deserved awards.
 
The evening started off with Head Coach Josh Ihrke welcoming his team and their family and friends. Coaches from the 9th grade, 10th grade and JV teams got a chance to speak on behalf of their squads before Ihrke began announcing awards.

The Bulldogs finished the season 11-15 overall and 9-4 in the Granite Ridge Conference, good for a tie for second place.
 
Dertinger led the team in points with 521, followed by Gustafson (369), Ricker (213), Quernemoen (175) and Callahan (120).
 
Gustafson was the team leader in rebounds with 159, followed by Kringler (142), Dertinger (140), Ricker (78) and Callahan (70).
 
Callahan led the Bulldogs in blocked shots with 21. He was followed by Gustafson (13), Dertinger (11), Boser (7) and Kringler (7).
 
Dertinger was the team leader in steals with 61, followed by Kringler (27), Ricker (26), Quernemoen (19) and Fobbe (17).
 
Kringler was the team’s top free-throw shooter, netting 75% of his attempts. He was followed by Dertinger (73%), Ricker (68%), Callahan (67%) and Gustafson (65%).
 
For three-pointers, Dertinger and Nick Mittelstaedt had the best percentage (37%) and they were followed by Quernemoen (32%), Fobbe (26%) and Ricker (23%).
 
Gabe Lindbom  (58%) had the team’s best field goal percentage followed by Gustafson (55%), Callahan (47%), Travis Myers (44%) and Dertinger (42%).
 
For assists, Kringler tallied the most (87) followed by Dertinger (86), Ricker (61), Gustafson (29) and Callahan (24).
