The Becker Bandits baseball team hosted their first game of the summer against Foley Sunday.
They lost to the Lumberjacks, 11-2.
Cole Hanson started on the mound for Becker. He pitched eight innings, had five strikeouts, gave up two walks, 11 hits and 10 runs (five earned). Ryan Swanson finished the game pitching the final inning, giving up one walk, two hits and one run.
Austin Rasmussen, Ryan Hess and Connor Rolf each went 1-for-5. Swanson was 1-for-2 with the sole RBI.
The Bandits have 13 players returning from last year and three new additions. The 13 returning players are: #2 - Matthew Moe; #3 - Connor Rolf; #5 - Austin Rasmussen; #6 - Jon Crowley; #7 - Matt Krenz; #9 - Brian Kolbinger; #11 - Hayden Fassler; #17 - Cole Hanson; #18 - Ryan Sommerdorf; #19 - Matt Conzemius; #23 - Kreeden Blomquist; #24 - Andrew Kolbinger; #35 - Kevin Krenz.
The new faces on the team include: #8 - Ryan Hess; #27 - Nick Dinius; #30 - Ryan Swanson.
The team is coached by Hanson and managed by Krenz. They play in the Sauk Valley League.
