Despite brutal weather and high winds, several Becker natives entered an ice fishing contest last weekend. Becker natives Betty Moore, Dawn Woolard, Tracy Fisher Welsh and Christie Mastey participated in the Women Anglers of Minnesota fishing contest.

Tracy Fisher and Christie Mastey snagged five crappies and took the top prize at the second annual Women’s Angler of Minnesota ice fishing tournament March 2nd. The tournament was held at McQuoid’s Inn and Event Center near Isle, MN last weekend.
