The Becker Blast 10U Gold team finished up a very successful season last weekend at 10U NAFA National tournament held in Bloomington.
Tournament play included Big Lake Ice Breaker, Becker Blast, MMFL State Tournament and a team from Baldwin, WI.
Becker played their summer schedule in the Suburban League, finishing second and was ranked third in metro area scoring totals.
At the Baldwin tournament, Becker faced strong competition and played extremely well, finishing in 3rd place and capturing a NAFA national birth.
In Bloomington last weekend, the girls kicked off the tournament with opening ceremonies held at Bloomington Jefferson High School Thursday night. The players exchanged pins and gift bags with other teams during the parade.
When the games started, Becker was fired up and played extremely well against, Lakeville, Bloomington, Mankato, Goodview and St. Peter. They lost their final game to St Michael, 7-4.
Mike Fitzpatrick was the team’s head coach and Todd Eickhoff his assistant and both will be taking this team up to 12U starting this fall.
The team consisted of Cadence Koste, Ashlyn Croal, Emma Eickhoff, Grace Wraspir, Skylar Kipka, Kynanna Marx, Mackenna Zerwas, Reese Arbuckle, Jersey Fitzpatrick, Trista Holm, Grace Schendel and Lexi Williams.
