BLPD Arrests: Johann Wallace – (Age 37 – Big Lake, MN) – Warrant; Joshua Hardy – (Age 27 – St Cloud, MN) – Domestic Assault and Warrants
Sun., Feb. 13, 2022: Lake St S – Agency Assist – Requested by Elk River PD to contact the registered owner of a vehicle to verify the vehicle was not stolen or being used against owner’s wishes; Ruddy Duck Ln - Fire Call – Smoke detectors sounding in a residence. No issues located; Cty Rd 14/ Cty Rd 30 – Agency Assist – Sherburne Deputies were dispatched to County Rd 14 for a crash with unknown injuries. BL Officers assisted by locating the crash and verified there were no injuries.
Sat., Feb. 12, 2022: Harrison Dr - Vehicle Crash - Report of an unoccupied vehicle struck by a passing vehicle. Driver contacted and information obtained; Forest Rd – Agency Assist – A traffic complaint on Hwy 10 was dispatched. A Sherburne Deputy located the vehicle and stopped it on Forest Rd. The driver was arrested for DWI. BL Officers were present for officer safety, assisted with the tow, and transported passengers home.
Fri., Feb. 11, 2022: Independence Dr – 911 Hang Up – Received a 911 call with yelling in the background. Officers were dispatched. Officers were told there were no issues; Minnesota Ave – Drugs – Report of possible drug activity; Helen Way – Open Door – Residence had a door standing open, vehicle in the driveway and no lights on inside. Officers contacted the homeowner by phone. No issues; Lake St S - Vehicle Crash - Vehicle crash with no injuries. Information obtained for a report; Lake St S/Tarrytown Rd – Agency Assist – A BL Officer assisted a Wright County Deputy on a traffic stop.
Thurs., Feb. 10, 2022: 197th Ave NW – Security Alarm – Officers checked the building. No issues; Norwood Dr - Civil Complaint - Officers documented a custody dispute; 197th Ave NW – Security Alarm – Officers found an unsecure. Cleared the building; Station St – Traffic Complaint – Vehicle in a parking lot doing donuts. Vehicle unoccupied; Jefferson Blvd – Traffic Complaint – Possible impaired driver. Vehicle located, unoccupied.
Wed., Feb. 9, 2022: Lake Ridge Dr - Warrant Arrest – Officers attempted an arrest warrant and contacted the party. Party was transported and booked into Sherburne Jail; Grace Dr - Harassment - Someone called and said they were watching the call recipient. Officers checked the area and did not find signs of anyone around; Tarrytown Rd – Animal Call – Report of a lost dog; Sterling Dr – Security Alarm – Officers responded and found a contractor was working on site. No issues; Mitchell Rd – 911 Hang Up – Phone issues. No problems.
Tues., Feb. 8, 2022: Lake St N/Martin Ave – Traffic Stop – Registration and insurance violations. Vehicle searched for odor of marijuana. Citation issued; Cty Rd 14/Cty Rd 30 – Agency Assist – State Trooper requested assistance with a party resisting. BL Officers responded to assist. No one was hurt; Sterling Dr - Fraud – The reporting party posted an item for free on Facebook. An “interested party” mailed a large check to cover the handling fees. The check was to be cashed and money given to the people that came to pick up the item. The caller realized this was a scam and turned the check over to a BL Officer; Donna Ct – Agency Assist – A domestic suspect left St Cloud in a stolen vehicle. BL Officers watched Hwy 10 for the vehicle. Officers located a possible match. Before this was confirmed, the driver exited and walked toward a house. Officers approached and found tracks leading to the backyard fence, as if someone were running. The party was later located in a local business and arrested. The party also had several felony warrants. The party was transported to Benton County Jail; Hwy 10/144th St NW – Traffic Stop – Moving violation. Unlicensed driver. Citation issued.
Mon., Feb. 7, 2022: Mitchell Rd - Domestic Disturbance - Officers mediated a verbal domestic. Parties separated; Minnesota Ave – Agency Assist – Assisted Sherburne Deputies look for a juvenile that did not ride the bus home from school; Monroe St - Fraud – Report of emails received that stated the reporting party owed $700+ to Paypal. Officer assisted the party contact Paypal to verify there was no account created in the party’s name and no debt owed. This was a scam; 204th Ave NW - Fire Call - Assisted Big Lake Fire on a gas leak. Gas was shut off and utility company requested to respond; Julie Way – Agency Assist – Assisted Community Corrections by contacting a party; Englewood Dr – Juvenile Runaway – Report of a runaway. Juvenile located by a neighboring agency and returned home. Citation issued.
